At Catering by John Lowe, we believe great food can elevate any gathering—from weddings and galas to business dinners and community events. In April 2025, we had the pleasure of partnering with the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts to cater the 2nd Annual Illuminate Berks County Entrepreneurship Dinner, hosted by the Kutztown University Small Business Development Center.
As an Approved Caterer at GoggleWorks, we were proud to bring our signature flavor, style, and attention to detail to an evening that celebrated creativity, innovation, and local entrepreneurship.

The Venue: GoggleWorks Center for the Arts
A historic goggle factory transformed into a modern arts and culture hub, GoggleWorks offers a uniquely artistic and industrial-chic backdrop for events of all kinds. With its exposed brick, soaring ceilings, and art-filled spaces, it's no surprise this venue has become a favorite in downtown Reading.
We're thrilled to be part of their Preferred Caterer list and to work with their expert events team to serve guests in such a dynamic space.
The Event: A Flavor-Filled Evening

For the Illuminate Berks County dinner, we curated four interactive station-style menus designed to delight almost 200 guests with a wide variety of flavors and dietary accommodations:
Amore Grazing Station: A feast for the eyes and palate featuring cured meats, cheeses, seasonal fruits, antipasto, artisan breads, and house-made dips—complete with mini desserts for a sweet finish.
Pasta Station: Guests enjoyed Cavatappi Cacio e Pepe with fresh spinach, sundried tomatoes, and basil, topped with shaved Pecorino Romano and served with focaccia crisps.

Amarillo Rice Bowl Station: A colorful and gluten-free option with cumin-rubbed pulled chicken, yellow rice, caramelized onions and peppers, queso fresca, and pico de gallo—plus vegan-friendly toppings.
Slider Station: A trio of mini sandwiches including bacon cheeseburgers, our Carolina pulled pork sliders, and grilled eggplant sliders, paired with Cajun potato salad and tri-color coleslaw.
